Just after Garbage‘s Shirley Manson wrote an open letter to not-Kanye West, the band has received the same treatment from a photographer that claimed the band was asking to use his photos without proper payment.
The argument is carefully laid out and reasoned, asking the band if they would appreciate someone using their music and only offering proper credit.
Well, the band has responded, informing people that they already paid for the photography in 1995.

“We regret that you interpreted our request so negatively,” the band writes. “HAVING ALREADY paid you in 1995 for the entire shoot from which these images were selected, we really didn’t expect such a hostile reception to our enquiry. We adore the photographs you took of us at such a special time in our career but it was never our intent to use the aforementioned images without your express permission”
